This has all the makings of a tough match. Stoke are a physical side who managed to hold Chelsea to a goalless draw on the first day of the season, and they have their defending sorted. Unfortunatley they lack a bit going forwards, though Peter Crouch’s acquisition may change all that – and how many times have we seen players play well against their former clubs?!
That said, with Liverpool’s hard-working midfield and extra cutting edge up-front (even on Chelsea) we think they will have just about enough about to make their mark. Liverpool have been quick off the blocks in two of their three Premier League games this season, with Suarez scoring on 12 minutes on the first day, and Henderson grabbing a goal inside 15 minutes last time out. They may not have managed to break Arsenal’s defence before the half-time whistle, but as title challengers thats to be expected.
